Gov. Gibbons agrees to accept $83 million from Federal Government for Education in Nevada

Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons has decided that he will accept federal dollars for Nevada’s education system which is ranked near the bottom in the nation.

Gibbons at first was undecided on whether he should accept the $83 million for education, he previously said, "We have to study the requirements for taking that money," "The requirements by the federal government oftentimes put us in a more difficult position."

Gibbons went on to say “It is continued arrogance of the bureaucrats in the Reid/Obama administration to believe that all 50 states have identical education needs.” Which is true because most every other State does a better job with their education systems
