Republicans don’t want your Tea Party candidates, they just want your votes

Republicans don’t want your Tea Party candidates, they just want your votes

Earlier this year the Tea Party of Nevada candidate for US Senate Scott Ashjian (T-NV) created a firestorm when he qualified to be on this Novembers ballot to contest the seat currently held by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV).

The moment the story broke, the Republican response was to denounce the Tea Party of Nevada and its candidate by claiming that he was a stalking horse for Reid. Claims made without any substance or evidence that Ashjian had even talked to Senator Reid.

The Republican controlled Tea party groups in Nevada denounced Ashjian and the Tea Party of Nevada calling him a fake. Lies were made of Ashjian and he was even taken to court to have his name removed from the November ballot, a case he won, but it is now being appealed in Nevada’s Supreme Court. The Republicans have thrown everything at Ashjian except the kitchen sink.

Now, the exact same thing that had happened to Scott Ashjian and the Tea Party of Nevada is taking place in Florida, where the Florida Tea Party has qualified its own candidate for the House of Representatives.
