Chicken costumes banned from Polls

Early voting kicked off yesterday and according to Larry Lomax the Clark Country Registrar of Voters, by days end 5,569 registered voters had cast their votes. Lomax said that on the first day of early voting for the 2008 Primary a little more than 3,000 voters went to the Polls.

Early voting will run through June 4th. Election day is June 8th.

The deadline to register for this years primary was May 8th, and 692,747 people were registered to vote in Clark County.

Nevada State election officials have added chicken costumes to the list of items that are banned from the polls, along with items such as campaign T-shirts, and campaign buttons.
