Nevada Republican Governor Brian Sandoval said today that he will appoint Rep. Dean Heller (R-NV) to finish Senator John Ensign's senate term, and dashed any hopes of Nevada democrats that he would appoint a caretaker to fill the seat until the 2012 General election.

By appointing Rep. Dean Heller, a Special election will be held within six months to fill Heller’s House seat.
