Sharron Angle who announced March 16, 2011 that she would run for Nevada’s 2nd congressional District to fill former Congressman Dean Heller’s seat in a Special Election , has abruptly withdrawn her name from consideration, now that the Party candidates will be picked by the Republican Central Committee and the Democratic Party Central Committee because of a recent court ruling that stopped an open election.

Republican US Senator Dean Heller today voted to kill Medicare, along with 39 other Republican Senators. Heller who recently replaced Nevada Senator John Ensign also voted to kill Medicare while he was in the House a few weeks ago.

Medicare which is supported by a vast majority of US citizens was the major factor in yesterdays special election in New York’s 26th congressional district which was won by Democrat Kathy Hochul who defeated Republican Jane Corwin. Just so you know, New York’s 26th District is a staunch Republican district, and in the 2008 Presidential election John McCain won there by double digits.

In summery, Rep. Joe Heck voted to continue giving away billions of tax payer dollars to the most profitable industry on Earth. He voted to continue allowing oil speculators to drive up the cost of a barrel of oil, and he voted to continue allowing domestic oil sold onto the global market at inflated prices which means that no matter how much we increase domestic production, pump prices would not drop. All of his votes have helped to drive up the cost for consumers when they fill up at the gas stations.

Senator Dean Heller who as a congressman voted to get rid of Medicare, twice, can now continue his anti senior crusade from the Senate. Senator Heller has been assigned to the Senate’s Special Committee on Aging, whose task is to safeguard the welfare of seniors in Nevada and those across the United States. Right now you are asking yourself if this is a joke, rest assured it is no joke.

Senator Heller, the man who voted to end Medicare is now on the Senate’s Special Committee on Aging. Heller also wants to privatize Social Security, he wants to give your Social Security income tax to banks, the same banks who left millions of American citizens holding the bag (the empty 401k and investment bag) when our financial institutions came tumbling down in 2008, but that could never happen again, right?. The financial institutions bounced back quite nicely thanks to the bailouts, but millions of Americans are still left treading water trying to keep from drowning, while millions of others already have.

Yesterday, House Republicans including Nevada Representative Dean Heller and Nevada Representative Joe Heck voted against an amendment to H.R. 1230, a Republican bill that increases drilling in the United States, but fails to bring down gas prices. All but one Republican voted against the Amendment.

The amendment which was offered by New Mexico Rep. Ben Ray Lujan, a Democrat, would have made it mandatory that the “Oil Drilled in the United States, Stay’s in the United States” for US consumers and not shipped to other countries.

Since the start of the Afghanistan invasion on October 7, 2001 and the invasion of Iraq on March 19, 2003, the number of US soldiers killed is 5885, and 53 of the soldiers are from our Great State of Nevada.

The names and faces of the 53 fallen soldiers from Nevada.

Late last night President Barack Obama made a special announcement (video on left) from the White House to inform the nation and the world that a team of US soldiers have killed America’s most wanted terrorist, Osama Bin Laden, inside Pakistan.

Osama Bin Laden, was the leader of al-Qaeda and the terrorist organization which took credit for killing more than 3000 Americans on September 11, 2001 in the United States.
