Poll: What would you do about Social Security

Poll: What would you do about Social Security

Currently workers can start to receive Social Security retirement funds when they turn 62. However, this is the early retirement age, the full retirement age depends on when you were born. For instance, if you were born between 1943 and 1954, you receive full benefits if you retire at age 66. If you were born in 1960 or later, your full retirement age is 67.

Senator Ensign votes against tax cuts, new jobs, and veterans

Senator John Ensign (R-NV) and his “Party of No“, made it official yesterday, they all voted no for cloture on the “American Workers, State, and Business Relief Act of 2010” . They have successfully killed another bill by filibustering and not allowing the full Senate to have a debate on the Bill. The vote was 57-41 with every single republican in the Senate voting No.

Three cheers for Senator John Ensign who continues to stand against Nevadans.

Here is what Senator Ensign and his “Party of No” stopped yesterday:

Sharron Angle: “second amendment remedies”

Sharron Angle: “second amendment remedies”

Earlier this year Sharron Angle (R-NV) was asked by right wing radio talk show host Lars Larson, where she stood on the Second Amendment. (You can listen to her interview here.)

“You know, our Founding Fathers, they put that second amendment in there for a good reason and that was for the people to protect themselves against a tyrannical government. And in fact, Thomas Jefferson said it’s good for a country to have a revolution every 20 years.”

“I hope that’s not where we’re going, but, you know, if this Congress keeps going the way it is, people are really looking toward those Second Amendment remedies and saying, ‘my goodness what can we do to turn this country around?’ I’ll tell you the first thing we need to do is take Harry Reid out.”

And during an interview with the Reno Gazette-Journal last month, Sharron Angle said “it’s almost an imperative” that conservatives win. “The nation is arming,” she said. “What are they arming for if it isn’t that they are so distrustful of their government? They’re afraid they’ll have to fight for their liberty in more Second Amendment kinds of ways. That’s why I look at this as almost an imperative. If we don’t win at the ballot box, what will be the next step?”

Sharron Angle has said on more than one occasion that this Novembers election is about Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) and not her. Someone needs to inform candidate Angle that this election is about her as well as Senator Reid. And when she runs (see Sharron Angle run from the MSM) from the main stream media, it will continue to be about her, and not Senator Reid.

Rep. Barton apologizes to BP, Fox News edits Apology (Video)

Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX) apologized to BP CEO Tony Haywood today for the way the White House treated BP’s Chairman Carl-Henric Svanberg and insisting that BP create a $20 Billion fund to compensate American Citizens whose lives have been impacted by BP’s incompetence and greed.

Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX) apologized to BP, Barton doesn’t think that that should be the other way around. Amazing.

Well not really amazing, for several weeks now we have seen Republicans in Congress pushing for the Tax payer to pay for the clean up. Minority John Boehner (R-OH) said just last week that both the federal government and BP should be held responsible.

Sharron Angle (R-NV) who two months ago was a distant third in the polls behind Sue Lowden and Danny Tarkanian, took the GOP Primary by storm yesterday thanks to nearly one million dollars in ad buys from outside interests groups such as the Tea Party Express and the Club for Growth, organizations which are run by GOP.

Angle’s acceptance speech was to say the least, exuberant, she yelled the whole speech which was one long ramble of Republican slogans, smaller government, less taxes, take back our country, Washington spends to much, etc, etc and its all Senator Harry Reid’s fault.
